On a Windows computer, files that are deleted are sent to the recycle bin, where they remain for up to 30 days before being wiped from the system. You may manually empty the recycle bin while the data are still kept inside to completely remove all of the files from it. Although this operation is essentially irreversible, you still have a chance to recover the deleted files.
The data are moved to a secret partition on the hard disk after being erased from the recycle bin folder when it is emptied. The files are still present on the hard disk, but until you remove them from that safe haven, you can't manually access them.
